Baard!

Turning Virtue are absolutely stoked to have one of our all-time favorite drummers Baard Kolstad joining us for ‘He Held The Sun Captive’ and ‘The Secret Of The Golden Lotus’. For those of you unfamiliar with Baard he is the drummer for Norwegian prog monsters Leprous. Please take a moment and check Leprous out and watch some of Baard’s play through videos while you’re at it. You will dig!

Baard began tracking the first song titled ‘Facilitation’ on Wednesday October 13 and tracked ‘Gods’ the following day. If you care to listen to a bit of the recording Baard posted a snippet of him tracking ‘Gods’ on his IG page.

The next 2 songs in the queue are “Inimicus" and ‘Denouement’ which will be tracked sometime this winter and at that point ‘He Held The Sun Captive’ will be complete. Further production and mixing will be handled by the legendary Tim Palmer who also worked with us on ‘ATHE’ and ‘Beautiful’.
